The Human Rights Lawyers Association (HRLA) has five bursaries of up to £1,000 to distribute to fund internships with human rights organisations. Established in 2006, the aim of the bursaries is to ensure that those without independent financial backing are able to take up work placements or internships in this field.
Undergraduates, recent law graduates and postgraduates studying the LPC or BPTC are eligible to receive a bursary. To qualify for a grant, applicants will need to show commitment to practising as a human rights lawyer or finding future employment in the area in the United Kingdom.
The deadline for applications is 2 March. For an application form and further information, visit the HRLA website: http://www.hrla.org.uk/.
