Getting Ahead in Publishing Seminar

Interested in a future in publishing? The Society of Young Publishers (SYP) is holding their key seminar, 'Getting Ahead in Publishing' at this year's London Book Fair. The event has high-profile speakers discussing what you need to kick-start your career in publishing and is free, with drinks afterwards. The seminar takes place twice on 20 April 2010 at 2.30pm and 4.00pm at Earls Court.

Publishing Careers Evening

The Society of Young Publishers is running an evening with specialist publishing recruitment consultants to hear their insider knowledge and hints and tips on getting a job. This event will take place on 21st September 2009 from 18:45 to 20:30 at Waterstones Piccadilly (Simpson Room, 6th Floor). Attendance is free for SYP members and £5 for others.There will be careers clinics for personal one-on-one consultations with specialists, plus drinks and networking. Society of Young Publishers at London Bookfair

'Getting Ahead in Publishing' is a seminar held by the Society of Young Publishers on Monday 20th April 2009 at the London Book Fair. It will be especially useful for students and new entrants to publishing and last year's event had a very strong turn out. Pearson Diversity Summer Internship Programme

Pearson are running an open day 'Getting into Pearson' for students and graduates who are eligible to find out more about the programme. The Summer Internship Programme is open to graduates and final year undergraduates from ethnic minority backgrounds. The open day will take place on Wednesday 4th March 2009 6-8pm at Pearson Plc, 10th Floor, 80 Strand, London, WC2R 0RL. Getting in to publishing: Penguin Open Day

Penguin are holding an open day on Thursday 20th November 10am - 2pm at 80 Strand, London. It's a brilliant opportunity for students and graduates, particularly those from ethnic minority backgrounds, to find out all about Penguin and more about a career in Publishing. The day consists of morning and afternoon presentations from senior employees of the company and a networking lunch in the afternoon where candidates have the opportunity to meet senior managers of the company.
